About me

Hi, I am a New Zealand artist who enjoys drawing animals of all shapes and sizes.

I started drawing from when I was little, horses were my subject of choice and it was all I seemed to draw until I hit my teen years and branched out.

When I attended university, got a job and started a family, art fell on the
wayside and it is only now, over a decade later, that I have finally put pencil to paper. Doing this as a form of stress relief made me realise how much I miss art and that this is something I want more of in my life, so I offer my services on a commission basis, drawing portraits of people’s pet.

If you would like to organise a commission or ask questions regarding this service then please see below for commission information and to book.

The medium I most enjoy is colour pencil, this is what I do commissions in. I find the whole process of layering the colours, finding the right blend for my subject an enjoyable challenge but they also
don’t take quite as long as acrylic does.

I do use acrylic paints but I reserve this for the pieces I create for my own enjoyment which I may sporadically have available for sale here.

I also dabble in watercolour from time-to-time, but find that coloured pencil is my medium of choice.

  • Step One

Contact me regarding wanting to book a commission. We can then hash out
what size, multiple pets vs one, if you want any prints etc.

  • Step Two

I will refer to my calendar as to when a commission slot is available.
Upon confirmation of a slot being available a 10% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your slot. A picture of the subject is required at this stage, in order to provide the best reference image I ask that the picture is clear, not grainy; the subject’s face isn’t obscured, cut-off or blurry.

  • Step Three

The waiting game until your slot becomes available, at which time I will
email you with updates as to progress. When completed you will be notified and when the package is sent you will receive another notification with tracking information.
